Some people learn the financial keys to success at home, from knowledgeable friends. All the other people either never learn the keys to success, or they learn them the hard way — by making lots of costly mistakes.
If you lack knowledge you will make more mistakes, and the more financial errors you will commit, the more money passes through your hands and out of your life. You will have the enormous financial costs, you experience the emotional toll of not feeling in control of your finances. This will definite cause increased stress and anxiety go hand in hand with not mastering your money.

You will need to learn about finances, in order to establish whether your current knowledge is helping you or holding you back. I am challenging you to improve your financial literacy and take responsibility for your finances, putting you in charge and reducing your anxiety about money. You need to realize that the most important things to worry about, like what’s for dinner.

I am sorry to hear of your lost job, but you still need to get your finances organized. You need to take control of your finances. The very first thing you need to do is track every penny you spend. I know this sounds like such a pain, but you really need to do this. You are probably saying there so much paperwork involved. Then you say, I lose my receipts, I don’t remember when bills are due. You may think it is hard enough making sure the bare necessities are tracked, and who has time to track every penny. I have been there before, my financial life was a mess. Whenever I received a bill or one of my bills were due, all I would do was play a game of hide and see to find it. Are you in the habit of overdrawing your checking account because you lost track of how much money you had. But I know eventually, it is easier to track your finances if you keep them organized.
One of the first things you will need to do is have a system. You will need to reduce the amount of information coming in, you will need to put all of your info in one place and you will need to process your finances regularly.
